I’m Dr. Kimberly Jayne (she/they).

I am deeply passionate about growth, healing, play therapy, parents and families, and making the world a nurturing place for children and all their adults.

I am a licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington, and a Board-Certified Counselor. I have extensive training and experience in play therapy and child-centered play therapy. I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, a Certified Child-Centered Play Therapy Supervisor & Trainer and a Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapy Supervisor & Trainer. I am also certified in Perinatal Mental Health.

In addition to my practice, I work as an Associate Professor of Counselor Education at Saybrook University and am the director of the play therapy program at The Montessori House. I teach, train, supervise, research, and write extensively about play therapy, child and adolescent counseling, and family therapy.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults through play, art, sand, and talk therapy. I enjoy working with individuals and families experiencing challenges and joys in parenting, children and adults healing from trauma and journeying through loss and grief, folks who are navigating anxiety, and with gender-expansive and trans children, youth, and their families.

I currently work with individual adults and parents/guardians/families through telehealth, and provide supervision for Registered Associates seeking licensure as LPCs and LMFTs in Oregon. I also supervise play therapists seeking to become registered play therapists, school-based registered play therapists, and completing certification in child-centered play therapy (CCPT), child-parent relationship therapy (CPRT), and child-centered group play therapy (CCGPT).
