I’m Dr. Kimberly Jayne (she/they).

I am deeply passionate about growth, healing, play therapy, parents and families, and making the world a nurturing place for children and all their adults.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico, and a Board-Certified Counselor. I have extensive training and experience in play therapy and child-centered play therapy. I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, a Certified Child-Centered Play Therapy Supervisor & Trainer and a Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapy Supervisor & Trainer. I am also certified in Perinatal Mental Health.

I am an Associate Professor of Counselor Education at Saybrook University and am the director of the play therapy program at the Helen Gordon Child Development Center. I teach, train, supervise, research, and write extensively about play therapy, child and adolescent counseling, and family therapy.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults through play, art, sand, and talk therapy. I enjoy working with individuals and families experiencing challenges and joys in parenting, folks healing from trauma, journeying through loss and grief, and anxiety, and with gender-expansive and trans children, youth, and their families.

I currently work with individual adults and parents/guardians/families through telehealth, and provide supervision for Registered Associates seeking licensure as LPCs and LMFTs in Oregon. I also supervise play therapists seeking to become registered play therapists, school-based registered play therapists, and certified in child-centered play therapy (CCPT) and child-parent relationship therapy (CPRT).
